Shopping Alternatives During BFC Fire Recovery
While the Co-op is closed, many of us are looking for shopping alternatives that align with BFC's mission and sourcing standards. We've compiled a list of CSAs, other cooperatives, and farmers markets as a resource.

CSAs
Cypress Hills CSA
Offers vegetables, fruit, eggs, milk, and yogurt shares.
Supplied by Norwich Meadows Farm, which is NOFA certified organic.
Prices are prorated for the remaining summer weeks.
Current pick up location is in the garage behind 274 Ridgewood Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11208 on Wednesday evenings between 6-8.
Requires a 4 hour volunteer commitment per share.
Brooklyn Supported Agriculture

Available on a week-to-week basis, with sign-ups on Sunday (you must sign up for their newsletter for info).
A weekly green bag full of organic vegetables starts at $25, with add-ons like fruit, eggs and bread.
BSA sources primarily from Rock Steady Farm and Oko Farms, and a portion of every bag sold gets reinvested back into the community.
Several pickup / delivery options available.
East Williamsburg CSA (via Hearty Roots)
Vegetable box available weekly or bi-weekly, with add-ons including eggs, fruit, dairy, meat and pasta. Sign up here.
All fresh food is sourced from family-run farms in the Hudson Valley. Dry food comes from Brooklyn-based purveyors.

Wednesday – at Harefield Road at 769 Metropolitan Ave 6:30PM - 8:30PM
