For those of you who want to put a little extra into your basic pasta dishes, the co-op is now carrying Bionature Organic 100% Durum Semolina lasagne shells. All Bionature pasta is made on small, family-owned farms in Italy, where they are pressed on bronze dies (rather than the industry standard Teflon ones) to create a rough texture that ensures optimal sauce absorption. Bionature pastas are dried slowly at low temperatures to preserve flavor.
There are virtually unlimited lasagne recipes out there, from vegan, to breakfast, and of course, classic. It can make a great shareable dish for potlucks, and can provide several days worth of leftovers.
Bionature lasagna shells are in stock right now at the co-op ($3.34 mem./ $4.73 non-mem.), so pick up a box the next time you’re at the store!
